Folkhouse, Cardinal Directions: N4 Bretsh
Folkhouse is delighted to present the grand finale of our concert series, CARDINAL DIRECTIONS, at St. Mary's Cathedral on 18th September at 19.30h.
For the past four weeks, we have been journeying across four Glasgow communities located in the North, East, and South sides of our home city: each evening presenting a new and exciting programme for folk musicians and string orchestra, all overlaid with poetry, brilliant guest artists, and new music premiers. The grand conclusion of our tour brings us to the West End of Glasgow and it will be unmissable.
This concert is an extravaganza of folk and chamber music, highlighting pieces written by our own members on the theme of 'Bretsh': a Shetland word which describes the white-water crash of great waves onto rocky shores—a sudden landing, a homecoming, a grand finale.
Tickets are £27.80 (concs £20.21). The event is suitable for all ages and under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
