WOOFYT: discover the mysteries behind the pipes

Updated: Sep 25

The WOOFYT was wonderful

What a great couple of days!

Adults and young people got a chance to learn how an organ works, and then play the wonderful award-winning WOOFYT and the Cathedral organ! Everyone helped make a majestic sound!

What a fabulous morning! Jeremy’s presentation was so straightforward and accessible. I learnt so much. Thank you for arranging this  G Smith xxx

I completely agree. A very interesting informative and inspiring workshop. Thank you for organising the event. J Heatlie

Jeremy Sampson and The Woofyt, in collaboration with the Glasgow Society of Organists, gave an enjoyable interactive demonstration of how an organ functions. This event was held on Friday 12th for schools and on Saturday 13th September for the general public at St Mary’s Cathedral.

Around 100 schoolchildren, 20 or so more young participants, and 60 adults joined us for four brilliant WOOFYT workshops - completely free of charge - exploring the joy of the organ in a fun, hands-on way.

A huge thank you to Jeremy, and everyone who helped out, and to the Glasgow Society of Organists, St Mary's Cathedral and a generous benefactor for making it all possible.
